About Us
The mission of Harvest House is to embrace the needs of others, build community, and demonstrate the love of Jesus. At Harvest House Food Pantry and through Power Packs our primary emphasis is to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
We give away food while, also, creating an environment that treats all of our neighbors with outstanding dignity and respect.
Company Overview:
Harvest House Food Pantry and Power Packs program are governed by the elders of Cedar Springs Community Church as our Board of Directors and we are located on their campus. We are a non-profit organization under the 501(c)3 Community Care Ministries.
We began with the food pantry in 2005 and added the backpack program in 2015.
Harvest House has three goals:
Build Community: We aim to bring our community together to create positive transformation in our area. Whether you are an individual wanting to donate or volunteer, an organization desiring to partner with us or you are someone in need of assistance, you are welcome to become part of the Harvest House family.
Embrace Needs: Our goal is to bring a connection to our neighbor's regular needs, while showing outstanding dignity. We want to help bring end to hunger and food insecurity in our area. We want to help lift others out of poverty.
Show the love of Jesus: Grace is something that we do not deserve, but it is given freely through Jesus, simply because he loves us. This attitude is reflected through everything we do at Harvest House.
